Established in late 1972, this association has been engaged in
pursuit, propagation and promotion of concepts, methods and practices
to enhance productivity in manufacturing and services organisations.
Members of the Association include individuals and institutions, researchers
and practitioners, here and abroad. Productivity through Quality and Reliability
is the motto of the Association and linking education with productivity with
productivity is one of its many concerns.

Important among its objectives are:

To offer courses of instruction and facilities for research
in all aspect of Quality and Reliability Theory as well as in Industrial
Engineering and Oparations Research.

To conduct examinations leading to the award of degrees diplomas, certificates
and other distinctions on an All India basis.

To hold lectures, seminers, symposia and other events to promote and
propagate the cause of Productivity, Quality and Reliability in products,
processes and services.

To hold annual conferences on Quality related themes in collaboration
with academic bodies and industries interested in these fields.

|
To render competent technical advice to institutions and undertake
consultancy work in the area of Productivity services.
